“The Secret Service,” NOT “The People,” has the duty of protecting the President & government. “The gov” is supposed to protect The People. 1) Exec Branch Mission “he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” meaning: make sure no one gets away with using initiatory force against any of “The People” whom the gov was formed “of, by and for.” 2) The Pres. is “Commander and Chief” to command armed forces to protect The People not the gov.
